Foot print kids artwork

Used my daughters feet to make the butterfly wings and my sons foot to do the tulips. I love these DIY kids projects. They grow too fast. Love having art to hold on to the memory of how tiny they were

Finished lamb of god painting

I added gold leaf to the Lamb of God painting. It's an 8x10 inch. I've been enjoying working on a small scale. Calling this one done.

Lamb of God

I may be finished with this 8x10 acrylic and collage piece. I used an image of the assumption to collage in the background. On too of that I glued pattern paper to give it texture and painted a lamb on top of that.

Lilies of the valley

Finished a piece that will be auctioned off in February. I used scrapbook paper, pattern paper, and holy cards to collage in the background. I created a butterfly stencil and dry brushed black butterflies, and finished by painting lilies of the valley in the foreground.

New beginnings

Completed my first painting since having my son three months ago. Calling this piece "New Beginning" ... 2013 has been a transition period for me. The butterfly represents renewal. I am continuing with collage elements that reflect Catholicism. This past year has been teaching me to rely on God and I am incorporating this aspect of my life in the works.

Collage painting with my photographs

I just recently had my second baby and had an extreme amount of pictures. I made myself this outdoor ocean painting and collages in the photographs.
Not the best picture of the painting but its the best I could do with its still being wet!

Sketch of my daughter

I had a little free time this morning to get some sketching done. I haven't been as able recently to take time for art. Between being nine months pregnant and having an almost two year old, me time seems nonexistent.

Ocean themed baby room completed

Finished my sons "under the sea" ocean themed baby room! Can't wait to meet him next month. I molded to mobiles out of crayola model magic. If you mold model magic and let it dry for several days it is a very light weight material that can be painted. Perfect DIY project.

Ocean themed baby room

I found out I am pregnant with a little boy and due this summer. I have painted a mural covering his walls with anatomically correct coral reef fish, including my favorite, the panther grouper!
I chose to do an ocean themed baby room because I thought the blue would be calming and the fish would provide a lot of stimulation. Contradictory effects? Maybe. My husband loved helping me pick the fish. We chose to incorporate clown fish, blue tang, yellow tang, pennant angels, panther grouper, blue sea stars, urchins and sea horses. I am in the process of creating a fish mobile out of model magic. Will post when I finish. My 22 month old daughter loves the "fish room."

In Memory of a Father

The beginning of this year my childhood best friend lost her father. This painting is a memorial to her wonderful father, Mr. T-bone. It incorporates photographs, patches he helped her earn in brownies and some of his military patches. I love you Manda!!!
